Election Date: October 19, 2015

In the 2015 federal election, we endorsed the “Green 18” — 18 candidates with strong environmental track records from the four major parties. Working together, Canadians like you who want action on the environment donated tens of thousands of dollars to the Green 18’s campaigns. Will Amos

Riding: Pontiac
Status: Elected

Will Amos is widely recognized as an environmental and natural resources expert. He has been an environmental lawyer, policy advisor and board member dedicated to environmental protection.

Status: Elected

Richard Cannings has had a long career as an award-winning biologist and natural history author. He served for over a decade on the B.C. Environmental Appeal Board and for eight years on the Committee on the Status of Endangered Wildlife in Canada.

Status: Elected

Jim Carr has been involved in planning and implementing climate strategies for years. He served as vice chair of the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD), and played a lead role in creating the framework for the Canadian Energy Strategy.

Status: Re-Elected

Michael Chong has worked within his party and across party lines to tackle climate change. He has worked to increase public transit, secure scientific funding and protect Rouge Park. In 2017, he ran in the CPC leadership race as the only candidate with a strong environmental platform.

François Choquette has made environmental action a priority since being elected MP in 2011. He introduced legislation to protect rivers from development, took part in the regional effort to safeguard the Forêt Drummond, and supported a Canada-wide energy efficiency program.

Nathan Cullen has been a long-time advocate for environmental protection in the House. He worked on the Clean Air and Climate Change Act, the Climate Change Accountability Act, the Phthalate Control Act, and the Act to Defend the Pacific Northwest (ban oil tankers on BC’s coast), among many others.

Fin Donnelly is an environmental champion passionate about protecting our water, coastlines and marine life. He founded a charity devoted to protecting and restoring B.C.’s watersheds, and, after being elected MP in 2009, he founded the All-Party Oceans Caucus.
