Dr. Kirsty Duncan (Liberal, Etobicoke North) is a former professor and researcher who specialized in climate change, climatology, and environmental health. She consulted for Environment Canada on the health impacts of climate change and served as a lead author for North America on two reports of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). Duncan previously served as Minister of Science and represented Canada at G7 and G20 meetings. A fierce defender of the environment, she continues to be a strong advocate for science, evidence-based decision making, and science literacy, while also championing equity, diversity, and inclusion in science.
